Benjamin T. Cochran

Benjamin T. Cochran founded Acousticom Corporation in October 1980 in Elkhart, Indiana, together with his wife Jean. An aviation communications man, he built the company into a manufacturer of headsets, microphones, and David Clark replacement parts for the military and general aviation, qualified on the Defense Logistics Agency Qualified Products Lists.

Ben passed away in 1981, the year after the company was founded. Jean carried the business forward, and the Cochran family ran Acousticom for nearly four decades.
