Each winner will receive a Sound Egg equipped for playing your favorite Britney Spears songs. The Sound Egg is an acoustically perfect, egg-shaped chair that has been fitted with surround sound speakers for a uniquely personalized listening experience. As both an audio chair and gaming chair it completely engrosses users in their choice pursuit, creating a personalized reprieve from their daily lives. Since its debut, the Sound Egg has been featured at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), and on the cover of the Hammacher Schlemmer catalogue. During last year’s CES show, attendees marveled at how quickly the outside environment seemed to disappear and noted the corresponding richness of their experience inside the chair.

The Sound Egg is the brainchild of Acousticom president Mark Cochran, and was specifically designed to provide refuge from the stresses of daily living in an increasingly frenetic world. Acousticom has pioneered a field of technological development that has gained tremendous attention at CES, E3 and in the industry at large. “Technology products often focus on pure function without taking into account the humans interacting with those products,” says Mr. Cochran. “By paying careful attention to how consumers would prefer to use the technology, we created an environment in which they can relax and feel comfortable.”

Acousticom Corporation was founded by Benjamin and Jean Cochran in October of 1980, and recently celebrated its 30th year in business. Acousticom built its reputation producing American-made, quality microphones, earphones, cable assemblies and headsets for leaders in aviation and military technology. The 2010 launch of the Sound Egg marked Acousticom’s debut in the world of consumer electronics.

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 7. 2011 – Acousticom Corporation today announced the Meditation Station™ Chair presented by GoodTrueBeautiful, Inc., a refinement of Acousticom’s Sound Egg Audio Chair that makes the already-beneficial practice of meditation even more effective and easier to incorporate into daily life. Acousticom, located in CES booth 5321 in the North Hall, Grand Lobby, is demonstrating the Sound Egg Chair throughout the 2011 International CES. Live demonstrations of the Meditation Station Chair are available at the GoodTrueBeautiful store in Washington, D.C.

As explained by Joel Cochran, Acousticom’s Director of Public Relations, “The Meditation Station™ utilizes the Sound Egg’s isolation features to achieve serenity.” By incorporating those isolation features, the Meditation Station™ becomes a ready-made sanctuary from the noise and distraction of everyday life. It provides an enveloping cocoon that makes it easy to effect the transition from the daily fray to a place of serenity and peaceful isolation. For many people, finding a private space away from distractions is a real obstacle to getting the most out of a meditation session. The Meditation Station™ makes it possible to experience that place of peace and silence whenever the time is right.

Acousticom has recognized that not everyone gets the most out of meditating in complete silence. For those who find sounds conducive to meditation, the Sound Egg Chair includes built-in speakers that provide an unparalleled audio experience. This is the perfect environment for listening to ambient or natural sounds on CD or for experiencing recordings specifically designed to enhance the practice of meditation. With or without sound, there is no better way to create a personal retreat from distraction and stress, and nothing else that so easily welcomes the meditative state of mind.

The Meditation Station™ is presented by GoodTrueBeautiful, Inc. and a live demonstration is available at its store located in Union Station in Washington, D.C. As part of its mission, GoodTrueBeautiful donates 10% of the proceeds of its sales to the Golden Phoenix Foundation, a charitable organization. The mission of the Golden Phoenix Foundation, in light of the widespread neglect and institutionalization of orphaned children in many countries, is to end child abandonment throughout the world.

Las Vegas, Nevada, January 6, 2011 – Acousticom Corporation returns to International CES with a LED video display attachment to their 5.1 Sound Egg Chair. Acousticom, located in CES Booth #5321, is demonstrating the full capabilities of the audio chair during the CES event.

Doug Cochran, Vice President, states: “After the overwhelming popularity of the Sound Egg’s debut at last year’s International Consumer Electronics Show, We are proud to be bringing the egg chair back for another fully featured tour at the 2011 CES show.” The innovative chair provides an unforgettable audio experience for the person seated inside. With a 5.1 surrounding speaker system, a 10” subwoofer, and custom configuration options, the Sound Egg provides one of the highest audio quality experiences in combination with a plush foam exterior available in a variety of colors. Sitting inside this egg allows the individual to completely forget about his or her responsibilities and simply enjoy the richly accented and deeply powerful sounds of an expertly configured audio system.

The Sound Egg is the brainchild of the president of Acousticom, Mark Cochran. The company has specifically designed its products to meet its overarching goal of providing a refuge from the stresses of daily living in an increasingly frenetic world. Technology products in particular have often been focused on pure function without taking into account the needs of the humans interacting with those products. By taking time to carefully consider how individuals prefer to use technology while simultaneously creating an environment in which they can relax and feel comfortable, Acousticom has pioneered a field of technological development that has gained tremendous attention at both the CES show and in the industry at large.

As both an audio chair and gaming chair, the Sound Egg chair allows users to become completely immersed in their choice pursuit, creating a powerful and much needed respite from the stress of their daily lives. During last year’s CES show, participants noted how quickly the outside environment seemed to diminish, and the corresponding richness of their experience inside the chair. The foam design compliments virtually any body type or personal height, and can be finished in a color that matches a pre-selected interior décor scheme.
